Chapter Two uses the term, Mo’ Betta, to capture what it is that we all desire, regardless of who we are. Mo’ Betta is a fun term used to spark the interest of everyone, and inspire thoughts of positive change. Students want Mo’ Betta grades, parents want Mo’ Betta jobs, and the people want a Mo’ Betta life.
Chapter Two was created for those of us committed to doing the work of making our lives Mo’ Betta. This journey will begin by taking an honest look at our past, which we will refer to as “Chapter One.”
Chapter Two is a program that believes each individual must believe that they are worthy, in order to achieve success. Therefore, Chapter Two believes that each person needs to feel good about who and what they are.
Chapter Two is a program created for those of us who choose not to have “Chapter One” be our whole life story. A program that promises to inspire, motivate, and empower individuals to think and feel that they are worthy and capable of more. It is a program that is dedicated and committed to nurturing and developing spiritually, mentally, and physically healthy individuals.
Chapter Two promises to promote learning in a uniquely positive and loving manner. The program welcomes and embraces individuality as an important part of its mission.
Chapter Two has developed a working philosophy that we believe would promote the well-being of any individual. We believe that, even if person initially possess none or only some of all the necessary positive assets, they can still be inspired, motivated, and empowered to have a prosperous and successful life.
Chapter Two is of the opinion that each individual should be made to feel that they are the author of their own life story and they are the leading character.
Chapter Two begins the program by asking key questions of all participants, questions that we feel are essential if we are to move forward in our quest for a Mo’ Betta life. First and foremost, we believe that each participant MUST feel that they are worthy of having Mo’ Betta if they are to achieve Mo’ Betta. We accept the fact that most participants may come to us from some difficult places. We also acknowledge that each participant will have their own unique story of how they came to view the world, but after all is said and done, it will still come down to finding a way of feeling worthy of more (Mo’ Betta ).
Chapter Two asks: How could we expect anyone to feel good about themselves if they didn’t know themselves? Therefore, Chapter Two, begins working with the individual to develop positive self-esteem and aself-concept or self-image of vitality. If we could help an individual to begin to think of themselves as worthy human beings, they could thensee themselves as worthy and start to feel worthy of Mo’ Betta!

Chapter Two feels that if we were to feel worthy of more ( Mo’ Betta), we would feel the freedom to have desires, to set goals, and to make plans to succeed.
But if we have not been nurtured in a way where we would feel safe to express our true selves, it would be difficult to move forward.
How were we taught to think of ourselves?
How were we taught to see ourselves?
And how were we taught to feel about ourselves?
These are some key questions that we all must be able to answer for they would prove to be vital in our growth and development. To have a sense of worthiness is by far the most important gift to be given.
How could we ever make success a part of who we are if we never felt worthy of it?!
To expect a student to get good grades when they don’t feel capable or worthy would be a set-up for failure. Therefore, Chapter Two feels it is important for the student to recognize that the thought of feeling unworthy is a thought stemming from Chapter One and need not be apart of their Chapter Two.
Chapter Two is about recognizing that we have choices about what we believe to be our truth, and changing it.
